Each marble vessel is a unique item carved out of a solid piece of marble from the island of Naxos. Naxos marble is white with crystals but often has grey tones and has can contain darker veins. As marble is cut out one does not know what the stone contains and hence the beauty of every piece. Inspired from the Cycladic prehistoric period combined with Tom’s interpretation of it these decorative sculptures are a beauty to every shelf or table or space they’re placed upon. Tom Von Kaenel is a painter and sculptor and lives on the island of Naxos.
